Use place value and columns to line up numbers and add the ones, then tens, then hundreds, carrying over to the next column.
Carrying over is also called Regrouping
Write the sum of the hundreds, then the sum of the tens then the sum of the ones, then add them all together.
Add one or two to make one of the numbers a round number (easy to add), add the new numbers, then subtract the one or two that you added from the answer.
A Hundred chart can be useful for counting up by ones and tens. Seeing the relationship between the numbers can help build faster mental math skills.
